A Night of Variety We will be singing a variety of music- from the much loved Zadok the Priest to folk songs and other well known classics. All proceeds from the evening will go to Naomi House. Welcome to the FPC!
The Fareham Philharmonic Choir (FPC) has been making music in Fareham for over a hundred years. In that time its membership has ranged from eleven people immediately after the second world war to a hundred people at the time of our centenary in 1999. Currently there are about 85 of us, and we always welcome new people - especially tenors! Under the musical direction of Colin Davey we sing a variety of classical music, from Mozart and Bach to Britten and Finzi. Sometimes we venture into the world of stage, film and popular music, and our Christmas carol concert is always sold out. We have also given the first performances of several works written especially for us. Most of all, we are a friendly group who enjoy performing music to a high and an ever-improving standard, and anyone who loves to sing is more than welcome.  Last updated: 01 June 2009.   Latest news   NAOMI HOUSE CHARITY CONCERT - JULY 11th 2009: On July 11th 2009 we will be performing a charity concert at St Peters & St Pauls, Fareham, 7:30pm in benefit of Naomi House Children's Hospice.   Please join us if you can!
