Description: | ![]() Fareham Philharmonic Choir Presents: A Concert of Reflection and Remembrance Fareham Philharmonic Choir is honoured to present a special concert on Saturday, 3rd May 2025, at 7:30 PM at Holy Trinity Church, West Street, Fareham. In recognition of the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the choir will present a specially curated programme featuring two significant works: Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace and Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requiem. Under the direction of Musical Director Andrew Cleary, the choir will be joined by soloists and instrumentalists to bring these moving compositions to life. The Armed Man, is a well- loved contemporary classic, renowned for its emotive power, while Eternal Light offers a poignant tribute to the deep sense of loss felt in the wake of a bereavement. Tickets are priced at £18, with accompanied under-16s admitted free of charge. Advance booking is recommended and can be made via TryBooking. The evening will include a short interval with refreshments. The Fareham Philharmonic Choir, established in 1890, is a dedicated group of around 70 singers who enjoy performing a wide range of choral music, from classical masterpieces to contemporary works. The choir is committed to delivering high-quality performances that resonate with audiences and enrich the local cultural scene.
