Dear Singer Have you considered joining a second choir? Romsey Choral Society is recruiting experienced singers, especially Tenors and Basses. We rehearse in Romsey Methodist Church on Tuesday Evenings and perform 4 concerts a year, two of which are in Romsey Abbey. We have an opportunity to take part in an annual residential adult summer school course, based at Chester University, from Sunday to Saturday, August 10-16th 2025. The main concert will be held in the magnificent Chester Cathedral on Friday, 15th August and the course members, known as the North of England Festival Chorus, will perform ‘Mostly Mozart’, the Great Mass in C minor, Ave Verum Corpus and Haydn Te Deum. As well as performing in the Cathedral, members will rehearse and perform a chamber choir repertoire concert ‘Choral Concord’ to be held at St Thomas’ Church opposite the University on Wednesday, 13th August. Alongside this, there will be social evening activities, masterclasses and optional lessons, so lots to look forward to and enjoy! | |
