- An interesting and rather different evening, 11th April
-
Date Posted: Tue, 24 Mar 2026Sonare choir (/quartet) have emailed us to say:
Good day,
Following on from our two previous very successful concerts at the Church of the Resurrection, choral quartet Sonare are returning to this same venue in April.
On Saturday 11th April we are performing our latest concert series, Musica Poetica, at the Church of the Resurrection and we would love to invite and see members of the Farnham Philharmonic Choir join us on the evening.
This programme will dig deep into how music, language and lyrics influence each other, and how the result is music that is so much more than a sum of its parts.
Taking in pieces by Bob Chilcott, music from Howard Shore's "Lord of the Rings" soundtrack, Bob Dylan songs and words from Shakespeare and Maya Angelou, there is something in the programme for any lover of choral music.
Attached - (at the foot of this bulletin - Steve) - is the event poster, which has all the details, if you would be so kind as to circulate this information amongst your members we would be very grateful.
There is a 10% discount for advance tickets bought through www.sonarechoir.com – tickets will also be available on the door.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to be in touch, otherwise we hope to see some of your members there on Saturday 11th..
With very best wishes,
Vicki Stilwell
